As you drive up to the course, Reeves County has a remarkable resemblance to the municipal in Fort Stockton. It's a typical West Texas layout that is built on flat terrain and over the years has gained character from the growth of trees planted along the fairway. The greens are small, with subtle undulations, and the course has no bunkers. Not a championship layout, but a basic course kept in reasonable condition that provides the locals the opportunity to enjoy the game.
For years now this has been an 11-hole layout, with golfers working in 18 by playing the back holes of 1, 2, 12, 14, 4, skipping 5, then finishing with 6-9. However the club is currently in the process of expanding the facility to a complete 18 holes. The plan involves adding two holes inside the existing course, and another five holes outside of the layout.
Getting there : Located just south of I-20 in Pecos. You can see the course from I-20.
