The Canyons Course is the easier of the two 18-hole layouts at the TPC of San Antonio. Designed more for resort players, it's considerably shorter than the Oaks Course. Designed by Pete Dye with Bruce Lietzke, the Canyons golf course has more elevation change than the Oaks with panoramic views of a 750-acre nature preserve. It also has wider fairways, fewer trees and fewer bunkers, although many of them bear Dye's signature shapes and difficulty.

Recently played, course was in great shape and more than fair for the price. Staff was super helpful and look forward to having future trips back to course.

They informed me that the course was recently aerated but since they has done a great job rolling the greens rolled awesome.

A don't miss for golf fanatics. Also, had special that they would give you rented clubs and wife took advantage of the deal.

Have never commented on anything before, but feel I must help fellow golf addicts save some trouble and money. Played 7-26-12, 10am. Staff lukewarm on questions, lost bags, requested to go off with associate earlier and spot available but discouraged, billing snafu on their part attempted to be resolved on 18th fairway with marshal coming out while clubbing my approach, then as in an ordinary muni paired with father and young son very nice and on vacation but EXTREME beginners with rented clubs. Frustrating, then green recentlhy aerated and sanded and had NOT been informed. Course beautiful with great views, very fair from right tees for everyone (we played tournament tees, other two extreme forward), but not an amazing experience. Beautiful approaches with options on almost every hole, nicely shaped greens with very challenging but fair putting/chipping shapes, nothing crazy rolling off the greens (or maybe it was the aeration stoppong them :)) On course amenities non existent. SAVE your $170 green fee, and try Wolfdtancer ouside of Bastrop if Resort course is your thing. AWESOME course, service, amenities there..

I remined me of the old style golf courses.Views are outstanding. It might be short compared to the Norman course...however one still has to hit small greens.Yes you can also 3 putt small greens . After the round head to the water park ...
