- This is a great place to go especially for a High handicap or working on your short game.
Most of the people that go there are around the same type of high handicap. Don't get me wrong because there are some really good gofers that go out to Oak Valley.
It's a great par 3 course and fun to play. Since you are around golfers that are about the level as yourself so it feels comfortable.
The gentleman that owns it is very friendly and a great golfer. They have great snacks and beverages with a large room and family atmosphere.
I have not been in about a year ago but my wife and will be going soon.

Great place to take my kids! Close to home and very casual atmosphere.Super low key which makes it fun for me. Nice lady working the clubhouse.We just moved to Helotes 4 months ago. And immediately found this little Gem. It is fully lit every night after work and on weekends. So cool with the breeze off the hills in the evening. Clean, cold drinks, TV for the games.
This is definitely a family place not your stuffy club house. So if you like snobs don't go. However, golf is enjoyed here by all.
Sometimes we go just for the driving range which is also lit. Oh and we stay for the barbeque on Saturdays.
Love this place!
Gentleman behind the counter was very nice. Wide open hitting area with grass, no mats, thank goodness. Will be back soon to check out the par 3 course.
