Located in the piney woods near Lake Livingston, Whispering Pines is open year-round as a wonderful golf vacation destination that sports a Jack Nicklaus-designed championship track and abundant recreational opportunities.
Tipping out at over 7,400 yards, this course offers plenty of length for the low handicapper, as well as a more reasonable 6,900-yard set of tees.
The number one handicap is No. 4, a 470-yard par 4, and the best birdie opportunity is the 178-yard No. 15, which plays only 136 yards from the middle tees.
Other notes: Mainly for First Tee Program participants, the facility serves up a 3-hole par 3 course.
