The track here along Lake Livingston weaves around eight man-made lakes, with holes that roll through skinny, pine-tree lined fairways routing to averaged-sized greens.

The par 5s stand out for their length, one on each side. No. 8 is ranked number two in terms of difficulty, but plays 590 yards, while the toughest hole is No. 12 at a mere 569 yards.

Getting there : From I-45 north, take Hwy. 19 towards Trinity. When you come to Hwy. 94, turn right drive down FM 356, then turn right again and drive 3 miles to the course. The course is on the left side.

Since the Westwood Shores Property Owners Assoc. purchased the Golf Course and Clubhouse in Dec. of 2012, we have resurfaced 2 Swimming Pools, resurfaced 2 of 4 Tennis Courts, opened a beautiful 19th Hole Grill and Bar, added a huge concrete apron /covered Patio for outdoor dining, re-built the Clubhouse, repaired /replaced all A/C, opened a Fitness Center, all new furniture in the Dining Hall, 19th Hole and outdoor Patio, repaired and/or replaced Sprinkler Systems on all 18 holes, refurbished the Golf Course, repaired, replaced Sand Traps, added Grass Bunkers, and built a new 10 slip Boat House with lifts.
