The course originally opened in 1982 with a design by Jack Kidwell and Michael Hurdzan. They made the most of Duck Creek, which comes into play on 13 of 18 holes. In fact, every hole on the back nine has water in play.
If you're striking the ball well, No. 3 is reachable in two at only 475 yards. However, this par 5 has water in play off the tee and on the approach. The best hole is No. 18, a 393-yard dogleg left with water in play on both shots because of the creek that crisscrosses the green.
Getting there : On I-45 north out of Houston, exit Hwy. 21 and turn left. When you come to FM 1452, make another left, then drive 1 mile to the course. The entrance is on the right side of the road.
