Formerly known as Channelview Golf Course, which was built by Howard Hughes in the late 1940s, Channelview found a new location and built a brand-new course. Known for its immaculate, champion Bermuda greens that lean toward the fast side, the design features seven water holes and is mostly flat.

Getting there : Drive north on Sheldon Rd. to Wallisville Rd. Turn left and drive about 1,000 yards to the course, which is on the right.

Nice course until three years ago. Terrible choice of sand in traps and greens are brown and dead. A complete turnaround from what I have been accustomed to at the course. I hope they get things figured out soon.

What stood out was greens were rolling good, and some were tricky. The cups could of been cut a little better. The fairways were lacking grass. The bunkers were soft and had a lot of sand. But the bunkers also had like pebbles and such in them. So I did not play out of them.but can’t be the price either I started at 2 o’clock in the afternoon and finished 18 holes in little over 2 hours

Course was in good shape greens rolling pretty good pretty flat but over all very enjoyable round, Low to mid handicappers should definitely have to play from the back tees to have a challenge.

I've been playing here for some time. I like the course and that you dont really need a tee time. The only thing I dont like is that you can't walk until twilight. What's worse is that during the Corona virus, they wouldn't allow us to walk. You have to get here super early or just wait for a cart. Why don't you allow us to walk? That's how golf started, right?

The course is in good shape, the layout is on the flat/boring side but the greens are always well above average. $28 weekend rate includes cart.
Hamburgers are delicious, beer is half the usual golf course price, smoking is permitted in the clubhouse.

Definitely not a Country Club but for the price you pay it is an outstanding deal. Greens are better than most golf courses around. I play this course regularly for the price and convenience. In the area you can not beat this course for what you pay.

It’s not a country club, but I liked it. There is not a lot of trouble in play. It is a fun course. The greens are good.

Nice Average public course with fast greens and fast/wide fairways. Good course for mid to high handicaps. Low handicaps will enjoy the risk/reward features. Greens are well kept throughout the year. Great prices.
