The course suffered in 2022 from a very hot and dry summer. A few greens were badly damaged. However, a new superintendent was hired and is doing a great job! The damaged greens still have a ways to go, but are showing marked improvement. Tee boxes were also damaged but have rebounded nicely. Fairways have always been good! Currently the greens are running about an 11 with lots of subtle (and some not-so-subtle) breaks. The course is a good test for most golfers. Bunkers were added in the 2008 renovation and water (ponds or Holliday Creek) comes into play on 10 holes. Fairways are pretty generous, but placement within the fairway is important on some holes. The course has also added a new head pro, Rick Leibovich. He is doing a fantastic job! All of the staff are very friendly! I am a member of this course and play 3-5 times/week. I give it 3.5 stars right now, but in a short time I think it will jump to 4.5.

This is a followup to my earlier review. Just noting that the description and photos of the course on this site has been updated to reflect the current redesigned course.

I play it often. It offers some challenges as well as scoring opportunities. Excellent value. Fairways and greens are very well maintained the rough could use some shaping up. Overall a fun course

The description of this course is of the old course. None of it is accurate. About 7 or 8 years ago there was a multi-million dollar near total redesign and rerouting. It is a very different golf course. It is now the Champions Course at Weeks Park and is a much better, more challenging course. The greens are huge (several - 2 to 3 clubs) and elevated with most having defensive bunkering and severe falloffs. Not too much green undulation but some severe slopes. Stay below the hole! Greens are very smooth. True roll on putts. Fairways are bunkered and gently sloped with several providing a 'bounding' area where if you can reach it you get another 20 or 30 yards off the tee. Tee to green lies are tight and require competent chipping skills. Front 9 is probably 3 to 5 stokes harder than the back. Course condition is very good for a municipal course. Five tees. Back tees for long hitters only (7k+yds). To score well must be able to work the ball right and left but fairways are generous. Slicers will have more trouble. Water is in play on several holes. On days where the wind blows (frequently) and with few trees it can be very challenging from any tee. But, if you play the proper tees for your game and you "think" your way around it provides a real challenge but not overly difficult. The last 3 finishing holes are fun to play and can save a round if you are careful. #16 is my favorite. It is a short par 4 and provides numerous options from a mid/long iron to driver with an upper and lower fairway guarded by bunkers and a visually bisected green. Great golf hole. Staff is friendly.
