Anson Golf Course

About
Make the drive to Anson for a quality round of golf enhanced by the friendly locals, who are happy to coach you around the course and give you a feel for the area. The course is of average length, playing 3,049 yards from the back tees, but tends to play shorter than that because tee shots run forever on the hardpan fairways. Holes 5, 6, and 7 are the most challenging, and No. 9 is an interesting hole as well. The condition of the course is determined by the amount of recent rains in the area. Don’t be surprised if the fairways are brown during drought conditions. However, the greens and tee boxes are generally in solid shape no matter how much rain has fallen. Two sets of tees make for an 18-hole round. For the price, it’s worth the trip. Pay once and play all day.
Getting there : Four blocks east of Hwy 277. Located in the city park near the middle of town.
