Since Jeffrey Prieskom purchased what was then an average 9-hole course in 1998, Oak Grove has rapidly become known as one of the finest courses in the area. With the addition of nine holes that opened for play in the fall of 2000, as well as continued improvements over the past few years (new greens on 7, 8, 14, and 16), this now borders on a being a spectacular 18-hole course. Thanks to the choice of tees (ranging from 3,177 to 6,804 yards), anyone can enjoy a round here.
Getting there : Located west of Texarkana off of I-30. Take the Red River Army Depot exit (No. 206) and proceed south to the main entrance of Red River Commerce Park. The golf club is located straight ahead. Turn right into the parking lot at the sign.

- There have been guys constantly working out here making the improvements and renovations. Players I know are very excited about the improvements. Getting better every time I come out!Used to play this course a lot. Have been sick lately but decided to just use the putting green since I did not feel like playing a full round. A gentleman named Smith came to see me and said I must pay the golf course fee of $19 ( I think ) to even putt.
I asked how little this had been the rule.
He said I was the first one.
I used to enjoy playing this course because of the other golfers and the tournaments that were offered.
The course does seem to be in fair condition. Greens were rough and grainy tho.
Very few of the old members are still here. My understanding is that the reception that they had received here has caused then to start playing other courses.
It is really a shame that such a fun place to play has become so unwelcoming.New owners are going to make this more beautiful than even new haven golf club in Texarkana.
Lots of restoration and upgrading going on, but definitely improvements being made! Will be a masterpiece
