Leon Howard built a par 70, 6,296-yard layout here in 1969 that features the hilly hill country terrain of the area, along with narrow, tree-lined fairways and some ponds that impact play. The most difficult hole is No. 10, a 235-yard, par 3 that luckily plays downhill over a massive area of cattails.

Getting there : From I-35 south, take Hwy. 22 west and exit Hwy. 22 Business. Drive north on FM 933 3 miles to Country Club Dr. Turn left and the course is 1.5 miles down the road.

If you have ever played this course and was not satisfied, please give it another chance. New owners have really turned this course around. Greens are small but challenging. Course is short, but challenging. Newly remodeled clubhouse looks fantastic and staff is awesome.

Played this course due to the flooding of other courses in Central Texas. The new owners were very nice and are working hard to improve the course. Greens are small but the layout is challenging. For $25 dollars it is a good value for the money. There is still a lot of work that needs to be done on the greens and fairways and even the tee boxes, but a good alternative to some of the busy courses. It is not perfect but if the new owners can continue to improve the maintence it will be a nice course. Similar to the course in Mart Texas probably a little better but smaller greens.
