Ralph Plummer worked with Arnold Palmer on the original Tanglewood design back around 1970, and Ken Dye and Baxter Spann came along for an upgrade in 1988. This challenging golf course overlooking Lake Texoma is difficult because of the water and wind. Be ready when you arrive, because the first two holes can ruin your day. Some say that no. 1 is the hardest on the golf course, playing 414 yards into a dogleg that's protected by a fairway bunker. No. 2 is longer at 444 yards -- you'll need a monster tee shot to set up a reasonable approach into the bunkered green. This hole has a slight dogleg to the left as well. On the back nine at Tanglewood, no. 14 goes 230 yards with water on the right, and no. 18 is a reachable par 5 with water in play on the first two shots.

golf course is a dried out pasture. New owners have done nothing to course. appears they don,t even water. Members are very unhappy, feel like they are being held hostage due to lack of courses in area. Save your money this course not even worth a free round

They advertise this as a tier one golf course, but it is worse than any muni golf course that you have ever played. While inexpensive to play, it’s in horrible condition. This May 21, 2023 and outside of rain, they have not watered the course since last fall. The tee boxes are dirt and sand with broken tees littering the tee area. Weeds around greens are allowed to flourish and the greens were punched several weeks ago and since lack of water, they are bumpy and slow.
Don’t waste your money. The course was bought about a 1 1/2 years ago and they have ran it into the dirt. This is not a resort, you will be disappointed.
