Also known as Summit Golf Course.
This black land course is known for its lush fairways, lack of bunkers, and large, sloped greens. After being built in the late 1980s, financial problems forced delays and the club was eventually bought at auction in 1991.
The design offers a good combination of open and tree-lined holes, but is mostly a links-style course. Water is in play on 10 holes–it’s the primary obstacle on this hillside track. The front nine features average-length par 4s but has two par 3s that play 220 yards, as well as the 602-yard No. 3. The back nine features the most difficult hole, the 540-yard No. 16.
Getting there : On I-45 south, take Exit 258 and turn left. Next, take the first right onto the service road and go 1 mile south. There are signs for the course.
