Jack Johnson laid out Bridgeport’s 9-holer back in the 1960s, taking advantage of the Trinity River to lay out his par 35, 3,058-yard track. This scenic, well-watered course features plush fairways and immaculate, undulating greens.

The best hole is No. 3, the signature 558-yard par 5 that weaves through trees and around the river. Thankfully, this course is one where you can pay once and play all day.

Getting there : From Hwy. 114 west, turn left on FM 2123. The clubhouse is on the right.

This is a fun little course! Inflation has hit everyone hard, but prices went up from $30 a round to $45 this summer. Yikes

This golf course is a cow pasture. Greens are unplayable, girl checking in golfers is extremely rude and needs to find another job, golf carts are filthy … and their answer to this is to raise prices. I won’t be back. Doubt you will be in business in a year.

I hate to give bad reveiws, especially for a small town golf course, but hopefully my comments will lead to an improvement. Maybe the course is in bad shape because its off-season, so I will try it again. The first thing I noticed was Hole 1's map at the tee box was missing. Not having been there before, the hole dog-legs left, but couldn't really tell the fairway from the rough. Most holes were missing the map. Next, I thought the greens were actually pretty rough. Still had a fun day of golf. I guess $35 seems to be a tad expensive for a 9 hole course in disrepair.
