Perry Country Club is a private facility that allows non-resident golfers to play for a fee. Built in the 1930s, this old course features a traditional layout with hilly terrain and mature trees. The greens are small and sloped, but in excellent condition.
Warm up before you tee off because the first hole plays 588 yards. On a cool, windy, spring day, it feels like 688 yards. The two par 3s (2 and 5) offer good birdie opportunities, as does the 269-yard par 4, 8th hole.
Everyone raves about the golf experience in the small town of Hamilton. This place is a bargain that is made more enjoyable by the friendly nature of the staff and golfers.
Getting there : From Fort Worth, take I-35 south to Hwy. 67. Turn south again and proceed to Hwy. 281. Turn south again and find FM 218, where you’ll turn west and drive 2 miles to the course. The entrance is on the right hand side.
