Follow the trails at The Golf Club at Champions Circle in Fort Worth
FORT WORTH, Texas -- Though it's not all that walkable, The Golf Club at Champions Circle seems as much a nature hike as it does a golf course at times.
That's because Jay Morrish's design takes players through beautiful live oaks, creeks, wetlands and a few wide-open spaces on a 7,005-yard, par-72 journey that's as scenic as it is difficult from the back tees. And because of those trees and rolling landscape, golfers who can work the ball into corners -- left or right -- definitely have an advantage.
The course, which is managed by Troon Golf, presents a nice combination of short and long par 4s, a variety of par 3s and par 5s that are meant to be played in three shots and one in particular, the 483-yard finishing hole, that's meant to set up risk-reward.
