Cordillera Ranch Golf Club near San Antonio
BOERNE, Texas - Cordillera Ranch Golf Club is the centerpiece of the community's 8,700 acres of Hill Country property northwest of San Antonio and about an hour's drive from Austin, home to multiple outdoor clubs, from shooting to kayaking and fishing.
Although the ranch was founded in 1997, the Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course was not opened until 2007. The course plays 7,464 yards from the championship tees (there are four sets here) and features rock outcroppings alongside holes and views of the Guadalupe River Valley from many vantage points. Cordillera Ranch Golf Club's par-3 16th is easily the course's signature hole. It plays over a 40-foot-deep canyon with waterfalls surrounding an elevated green.
Cordillera Ranch is a private golf facility open to those who live in the Cordillera Ranch community. In the fall of 2009, the club opened a brand new, 35,000-square-foot clubhouse, which is home to a restaurant, multiple bars, full locker rooms and other club facilities, such as a daycare and fitness center.
